Comprehensive Damage Report (CDR)
At Express Autobody our goal is to provide you with an expedient, high quality repair to your vehicle. Unlike other body shops, we don’t give estimates for repairs because we find that estimates are just that: estimates.
We want to have a complete and accurate repair plan ready along with all the necessary parts waiting when you drop off your vehicle. In order to accomplish this we perform what we call a CDR, a Comprehensive Damage Report. A CDR is an in-depth look at all of the damages to your vehicle, whereas an estimate is only a guess from what is seen on the outside of the car. We will disassemble the damaged area, measure the frame, lift the vehicle, take pictures of all of the damages and document every thing that will need to be replaced or repaired. We will then reassemble your vehicle and return it to you, and at that point we can accurately schedule you in for repairs and pre-order all of the parts. By taking these initial steps we can eliminate the time spent writing supplements, waiting for additional parts, waiting for additional insurance approval, waiting for the paint department to “cut in” or paint the additional parts, and waiting for the technician to get back to the repair. With a CDR we can get your car in, repair it and get it right back to you.
