Express Autobody is Environmentally Friendly
A part of Express Autobody’s mission statement says that we are to be “a good citizen and a good neighbor.” Fulfilling these criterion means that Express Autobody and our employees take every measure we can to reduce our impact on the environment. Every piece of paper that isn’t needed is shredded in our large, high-volume paper shredder. The shredded paper is bagged and hauled off regularly to a recycling center. We recycle the cans that our employees and our customers use at our shop along with any scrap sheet metal that comes off of our customer’s cars. Plastic bumpers are also collected and recycled along with any fluids that come out of a vehicle like engine oil and anti-freeze. We capture the Freon in the air conditioners and recycle it. Even the paint thinner we use to clean our spray guns is recycled. In addition to recycling we take other steps to keep our planet green, like the use of waterborne paint, HVLP spray guns, and fully enclosed spray gun cleaning cabinets. Doing this means we emit small amounts of VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) compared to other body shops who use solvent based paint. Being environmentally friendly is something we take seriously and with a lot of pride.
