Although the market here in Texas is relatively new for this paint, the technology itself is not. PPG’s Waterborne paint has been through two decades of intense research and development spanning two continents and hundreds of chemists, scientists and color-matching experts. The advantages of using this new paint are numerous. Using water borne paint dramatically reduces the production of volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) which in turn improves the quality of our air and environment here in central Texas. While Express Autobody has always been an environmentally friendly business, we are now on the leading edge of being Green.
Auto manufacturers have been using waterborne paints to paint their new cars since the beginning of this millennium. Now that we’re on the same page as the manufacturers we are able to pre-paint our parts with exact color matches, resulting in significantly faster repair times and higher quality repairs.
