At Express Autobody we strive to be more than just another collision repair shop. Part of our mission statement specifies that we are to “Be a good citizen and a good neighbor.” A key ingredient necessary for us to fulfill that part of our mission is our 720 sq. ft. Community Room.
Our community room was created to serve a number of functions. In addition to being an employee lounge and break area during the work week, it is available to non-profit organizations and clubs after the work day and during the work week. This room can be used for any type of function. Anyone will be able to use it, provided a few simple rules are kept. They are as follows:
No smoking -- Smoking is not allowed in any of Express Autobody’s buildings.
No illegal or immoral activities are permitted. Sorry folks, this room isn’t meant for bachelor parties.
Conduct or activities that are dangerous, or that may injure any participants or bystanders are not permitted. We just don’t want anyone getting hurt.
Conduct or activities that may damage the facilities or that may pose any kind of threat to the facilities are not permitted. We don’t want anyone burning the building down.
Conduct or activities that may disturb our neighbors, or that may pose any kind of threat to our neighbors are not permitted. Sorry folks, the “Days of Thunder Boom Box Competition” will not be allowed to happen here.
No consumption of alcohol or use of drugs is permitted on these premises.
While these rules may prevent some activities from being held here, there are plenty of other events and functions that these facilities lend themselves to.
Clubs and civic organizations are welcome to use this room for meetings and fundraising events.
Car Clubs can meet here, or hold mini car shows or tech inspections. (Sorry, this is only a 3 acre facility.)
Neighborhood groups can hold garage sales here.
Charities and human services organizations can use this room for education functions, or to increase the awareness of whatever cause they are supporting.
Motivational speakers and educators can use this room for seminars.
Twelve Step groups can meet here.
Planning committees can meet here.
Companies and corporations can use this room for meetings or for educational purposes.
Groups can use this room for parties or celebrations.
Churches or religious organizations can meet here.
Scout Troops can meet here.
Anyone else holding a function that doesn’t violate any of the ground rules are welcome to meet here.
Clubs, Civic groups, Non-profit organizations and Human Services Organizations can use this room at no charge. Profit companies and other groups may be subject to a usage fee depending on what kind of event they want to hold here.
Reservations are required. The use of the facility will be allocated on a first come-first serve basis. Presently this room has seating for about 30 folks, and with additional chairs it can accommodate as many as 65. (Note: with 65 folks in there it will be crowded and stuffy.)
There are 2 handicapped accessible restrooms adjacent to the community room, as well as a counter with a sink and a refrigerator for coffee and drinks. There are two tables for serving or presentations and a white wall that is excellent for a power point presentation.
